Children of a non-married couple have the custodial relationship determined in the Juvenile Court while children of a married couple have the custodial matters determined in the Domestic Relations Court. Either parent can file to have a custodial relationship and visitation schedule determined by the court. There is usually a trial and the court will issue its determination via order and the parties must follow the order.
